As the founding CEO and subsequently the Vice President of Engineering, I was responsible for BDA's product vision and execution including all research and development, product management and customer deployment activities.
I led the development of all BDA products from inception to deployment with over 15 on-time releases of increasing functionality and performance, "out innovating" much larger competitors in the process.
BDA's products have been adopted by a growing list of world's leading semiconductor companies including Qualcomm, Broadcom, TI, Samsung, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Panasonic, Spansion, LG Electronics, Freescale, NXP, Silicon Labs, Atheros etc, and are generating multi-million dollars in revenue.
BDA's flagship products were named to EDN's top 100 products in electronics in 2006, and were recognized with EDN's exclusive "Innovation for the Year" award in 2007 for delivering significant advances in technology and product development to Electronics Industry.

Founded BDA in October 2001 and served as its President and CEO until July 2003. As the founder, identified the market opportunity for next generation of Analog and RF IC design tools and authored the company business plan to raise $17 Million in funding from top-tier venture capital firms in Silicon Valley.
Forged partnerships with some of the largest semiconductor companies in the world and closed BDA's first ever revenue generating deal (multi-year, multi-license deal) prior to series A funding. Built an exceptionally talented development, applications engineering and marketing team with over 200 years of domain experience.
In 2006, BDA was selected as a winner of the annual “Red Herring 100 North America” award by Red Herring magazine for playing a leading role in innovating the technology business.

Monterey Design Systems was a high profile startup that raised over $150 Million in venture financing since its inception until it was acquired by Synopsys (SNPS), Inc in 2004. I played a key role in architecting Monterey’s flagship product - DolphinTM.

I was part of the prestigeous CAD group at Berkeley that has been instrumental in making some of the most significant advances in Electronic Design Automation over the years. My doctoral work on formal verification of hardware led to over 100X improvement in the state-of-the-art methods for verification and has been widely adopted by the industry in several commercial products.

I joined IIT Kanpur after being ranked 69th in a highly competitive nationwide joint entrance exam with over 100,000 applicants. I received several ‘Academic Excellence Awards’ from the academic senate of IIT Kanpur and won the award for Best B. Tech. Project (Undergraduate Thesis) in Electrical Engineering in 1993.
