Amit Gadhia’s Summary

As Shakespeare says...

"All the world's a stage & all the men & women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances; & one man in his time plays many parts"

While circling life on this stage; below is a summary of my parts, my exits and entrances:

Started my career with Merrill in Atlanta, GA. I was selling term loans & lines of credit to farmers, home builders & food processing plants. Soon I find myself wrapped around an irresistible offer from a client of Merrill's: an investment banking M&A boutique. I started consulting with SME (10m-100m) business owners on exit strategy implementation and an eventual merger or acquisition.

Summer of 2003, I moved to California. Shortly, I picked up a project with Inventors Publishing and Research powering their sales team with all thats Market Research. Soon, I was selling pens, pencils n paper clips for Staples: a $13.2 billion dollar company, fortune 165 and also the largest office supply distributor in the world.

In late 2004, the entrepreneurial bug bit me & I started my first company - import & distribution of plant-based pharmaceutical products. After 2 short years, I sold it to my partner. Shortly, I find myself working on a project in the web2.0 software/application development and technology consulting industry; fall in love with this industry, never looked back & decided to start my own company in this space.

Thus, www.Artyllect.com was born.
Even today, there is an acute shortage of not so great software developers; forget about great engineering. Why are software engineers right brain deficient? Why is it so difficult to find great engineers, engineers who can simply communicate? I've decided to stop asking why and start answering how. The dna of Artyllect speaks for itself i.e. a mind of the artistic & the intellect. We're a bunch of geeky & passionate software engineers, focusing in 3 areas: web2.0, open source and mobile/wireless application development.
