I am a theoretical cosmologist, doing research at the frontier between astrophysics and fundamental physics. I am also interested in the search for life elsewhere in the universe. I am author of about 50 research papers on peer-reviewed international journals, and of an equivalent number of contributions to volumes and conference proceedings.
I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Physics and Astronomy at the University of Rome, Tor Vergata. I also teach at the master in Communication of Science at the same University.
I write non-technical science articles and give science talks for a general audience. I am consulted as an expert by local and national radio and tv programs. Since 2006, I run Keplero.org, my blog (in Italian) about science and popular culture.
I am the author of a popular-science book on cosmology, "The Music of the Big Bang" (Springer, 2008).
