Sometimes you need a little extra money to pay for a roof on your house, so you get a retail job. Well, working at Apple Retail was a retail job like no other! It was engaging, challenging and, of course, very technical. I taught one-to-one classes and helped people learn to love their Macs by learning to use them. Also, I started doing some customer research for Apple, but I imagine that's as far as I can go without violating my confidentiality agreement. The Apple fun had to stop, though, when my marketing business got incredibly busy.

I managed all aspects pertaining to marketing for Lighthouse Carwash.
For their retail locations, I developed and managed a loyalty card program along with on-site promotions and relationships with local car wash management. The Operations Manager and I coordinated installations and customer service resolutions. In a nutshell: we made the car washes profitable.
Lighthouse also sells their business model to investors and operators through licensing agreements and building sales. My efforts were focused on long-term relationship building with these potential and current clients. The Office Manager and I found clients through trade shows, internet advertising and other channels, developed sales materials for the clients explaining how they could start a profitable, sustainable car wash business and put them in contact with one of our salespeople. I continued the relationship with each client through the car wash design phase and managing the "Grand Opening" process for their site.
