Alycia de Mesa is a brand consultant, author, writer and speaker. Alycia’s client list includes McDonald’s, Frito-Lay, Procter & Gamble, Xerox, HP, Phoenix Coyotes NHL team, WVU and many, many others from start-ups to Fortune 100 across industries from food to sports and entertainment. Over the last two years, she has been a guest speaker at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business “Future of Entertainment” conference and Luxe’s Luxury Branding on the Internet conference in Paris, France and GlobalShop sponsored by Nielsen Business Media.
Her published works on branding news, trends, analysis and commentary have appeared around the world most notably for Brandchannel.com and Businessweek.com’s Design and Innovation sections. Her book Before The Brand was published by McGraw-Hill in 2002 for business audiences and her new book Brand Avatar, Translating Virtual World Branding into Real World Success, published by Palgrave-Macmillan, was released in Spring 2009 in the UK and North America.
Alycia was graduated from Arizona State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and minor in French language and literature. In addition to consulting and writing, Alycia is a concert grand harpist and composer who gets her kicks bending genres and playing with symphonies to rock bands. In addition, she served as Interim Executive Director for her local community symphony. She is mom to 10-year old Kian and toddler Kai.
