Alvin Singh is a documentary producer and writer, as well as the historical curator of the Lead Belly Archives in Seattle. He specializes in journalism, digital media, marketing and a professional DJ. He consults businesses with social media strategies and utilizing online marketing campaigns.
Singh has worked with a wide range of small businesses, corporations and non-profit foundations providing a diverse set of skills. Working in management positions has also sharpened his business experience. He co-founded an online lifestyle company named BOOKiDO.com that has continuously evolved its web presence over the past 7 years.
Currently producing and filming The Life of Lead Belly as the first full length documentary about the legacy of the late blues/folk singer Huddie "Lead Belly" Ledbetter. As executive producer of the film Alvin works on formulating the marketing and storytelling strategies. The film will be screened at film festivals, and eventually available in a digital format through podcasting.
He is also a contributing author in a newly released photography book titled Lead Belly: A Life in Pictures published by famed German publisher Gerhard Steidl. Featured in New York Times Book Review,O Magazine, American Legacy, and National Public Radio.
