Alister Coyne’s Summary
Alister began his career at Sputnik Agency in 1999 after completing his Honours year in Multimedia at Swinburne’s National Design School achieving first class honours. At Sputnik he produced award winning work and played a key role to the development of the company to where it is today. Key clients include Cadbury Schweppes, Toyota, Colliers Jardine, Adidas, Australian Little Athletics and Chupa Chups.
Travels in 2003 took Alister to Edinburgh where he worked with multimedia firm Heehaw (colloquial for ‘stuff all’) where he designed numerous websites and magazines. Alister collaborated in two artistic projects, one as Media Officer for the original theatre production ‘The Good, The Bad & The Lonely’ and created visual effects for the BBC commissioned short film ‘IM’.
In London the following year Alister quickly developed strong relationships with a number of agencies as a Design Consultant. His expertise and ability to constantly deliver to a high standard saw him develop and design the largest online campaign in the history of Yahoo!(2005) for Vodafone. He since worked extensively on major projects for Adidas (uk), Sure For Men (Rexona), Ericsson and Navman.
Alister joined NetX after returning back to Melbourne in 2006 and worked extensively on a winning pitch for Proctor & Gambles’ Metaumucil product. The win was significant for NetX, its first in FMCG category. He then developed a number of concepts for Virgin Atlantic’s ‘Upper Class’ website. The website was finalist for ‘Best Consumer Website’ at the Melbourne Advertising & Design Club Awards and is being rolled out globally.
Alister continues to freelance for both overseas and local agencies. He is currently on consulting for M&C Saatchi and Publicis Mojo in Melbourne.
