Alison Driscoll is an interactive, online copywriter and social media consultant with a background in advertising and agency experience as a web copywriter and social strategist since 2005. She has worked with a wide variety of clients ranging from small, local businesses to international hotel chains. She currently works as an interactive copywriter at Digitas in Boston while running her own social media consultancy.
A self-described social media fashionista and advertising junkie, Alison enjoys writing about anything and everything, but especially geek fashion, lip gloss and cool new stuff online. As somewhat of a Facebook fanatic, she dispenses humor and advice about copywriting, Facebook, internet marketing and social media news on her blog, AlisonDriscoll.com.
Alison holds a Bachelors of Science in Advertising from Boston University’s College of Communications and is a frequent contributor to the Mashable social media blog. A self-proclaimed Facebook fanatic, Alison has often been featured on radio interviews and guest lectures as a social media expert. She spends her days explaining Facebook and Twitter to clients and colleagues while occasionally shopping online.

My print background and online passion have found a way to live happily ever after as an interactive copywriter at one of the leading digital agencies.
(Privately Held; Internet industry)
June 2006 — January 2009 (2 years 8 months)
Lead copywriter for any and all online and offline print collateral, including SEO web content, email marketing messages, newsletters, blog posts, press releases, product descriptions, Twitter messages (or Tweets, if you know what I'm talking about), Facebook and other social networking profiles, image optimization...If it's in English and on the web, I did it.
My social media marketing skills are usually called upon in the strategy phase, coming up with ideas for Facebook applications and widgets, blogging strategies, linkbaiting topics and generally answering the question of "how do we make this cooler?"
