Mission-related management goals include wildlife habitat, recreation, timber production, wilderness, healthy watersheds, and more. District is located within day's drive of more than 70 million people. District is within 3 hours of both metro Boston and New York City. Liaison to 35+ discrete town and county government entities and dozens of partners and stakeholder groups. District includes 5 congressionally-designated wilderness areas as well as the Robert T. Stafford White Rocks National Recreation Area. District also includes several commercial ski areas and nordic touring centers; Appalachian National Scenic Trail/Long Trail; VAST snowmobile trails; and other established uses within its bounds. Serve as "Mission Group Leader" for Recreation, Wilderness, Frontliners, Archeology & Heritage Resources, and Public Affairs programs. Oversee GMFL Fire Program. Supervise FMO, PAO, Rec Program Manager, & Deputy District Ranger. Provide comprehensive forest-wide leadership and oversight. Serve as Tribal Liaison. Serve as Employer of Choice Representative to R9. Serve on Forest Leadership Team and Forest Budget Team. Past service on Program of Work Team & Stewardship Contracting Team. Rx Fire Training Center/PFTC 21 day detail 2009. Rx Fire Detail (DeSoto NF) 2008. Serve intermittently as Acting Forest Supervisor.
