Alexandra Pullin is a freelance journalist and writer based in London who specialises in technology (both the business and consumer), new media, music and PR.
Alex has worked at various technology B2B and lifestyle publications including The Inquirer, Planning, Silicon.com, Who’s Jack, Take a Break and Nuts Magazines. She has also worked as a copywriter for several websites and has written features on a wide variety of subjects. Alex also has a post graduate diploma in magazine journalism where she honed her video skills.
Alex has also written for various ‘yoof’ publications such as Who’s Jack or My Chemical Toilet. Providing a good eye for upcoming trends and reviews for what is already out there in the world of cool.
As you can imagine, she’s also a bit of an internet geek. Alex is an early adopter of blogging which she has been doing and advising people on since 2006. She really, really likes Twitter, which she uses as a platform for whatever falls into her mind that day. She has so far failed to be included in any of the ‘funniest tweets’ book, but feels once she writes her own book, this will be rectified.
Before journalism Alex worked as a PR for several of London's top tech agencies and with some of the biggest names. This gives her an extremely useful insight into the mindset of the marketeer and understands what is required for promotional copy.
Other than all this she loves a good bit of celeb gossip and is quite a telly addict. She’s partial to cake and makes a mean cup of tea (although she’d usually prefer that you made it). She also still moves the controller about like a big girl, when she plays on the XBox.
