During both Operation Enduring Freedom I and II, I was the assistant team leader for a Protection Service detail (PSD) in charge of providing security for the 3rd Marine Air Wing Commanding General. From January 1st, 2003 to August 8th, 2003 I was deployed to Camp Al Jabber, Kuwait, and from February 3rd, 2004 to September 14th, 2004 I was deployed to Camp Al Asad, Iraq. Due to the high-profile nature of these combat billets, I received unique training from the Marine Corps. From January 12th – 15th, 2004 I attended a PSD operator’s training course that included threat assessment and advance detail duties, vehicle operations, counter ambushes, shooting from vehicles, formations and movements, protection protocol and dress communication, officer safety concern and techniques, live fire operations and full speed, real time 360 degree scenarios in public. I have also served for the Special Reaction Team from January, 1999 to 2005
