Alexander Frei represents corporations nationally and internationally in state and local government economic development incentive negotiations. He assists clients with strategic planning in all phases of the location decision and corporate cost mitigation process. His skills include preparing economic impact and site selection analyses, incentive feasibility studies, drafting Requests For Proposals, development agreement structuring, and negotiating incentives packages. He has negotiated and structured implementation for several multi-million dollar discretionary and statutory tax incentive packages for a wide range of clients and industries.
Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Frei was Director of Corporate Services at Pollina Corporate Real Estate where he was in charge of implementing turnkey site selection services. Mr. Frei has completed statistical location analysis and incentive negotiation transactions for a wide range of companies including Moventas Inc., Geka Brush Gmbh, Caterpillar Logistics, Bosch, Pro Mach Inc., Fidelitone Logistics, Ipsen Inc., VFS, Fontaine Trailer, Acheson Ventures, and X-Rite in a industrial and commercial capacity.
Mr. Frei previously spent 8 years in the U.S., Germany, and Mexico specializing in industrial and manufacturing engineering for companies including DaimlerChrysler, Hyundai, BMW, Honda, Renault, Ford Motor, VW, Wedgwood, Rosenthal, The Budd Company, Caterpillar, Siegel-Roberts, Inc. among others. His primary responsibilities included systems engineering, project management, commissioning and debugging of complex industrial systems.
Mr. Frei is fluent in German and Spanish; having lived 13 years in Mexico City and four years in Germany. He has authored multiple articles in industry journals such as Area Development.
