With several years experience within the area of web design / development and multimedia production, I specialise in client side development with XML-based technologies (Semantic xhtml, CSS 2, DOM based JavaScript, Flash [Actionscript 2], XSLT 2.0, XPath 2.0, XForms 1.1, XQuery 1.0). I have a good working knowledge of Java (and J2EE servlet programming using Jetty or Tomcat) and a good all-round knowledge of Perl, PHP and experience with databases such as mySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle (relational) and eXist (native XML). I also have a sound knowledge of Apache 1.3 / 2 (and xssi)

I am familiar with Unix (Solaris), Linux (Gentoo, Redhat ES or Debian/Ubuntu), BSD (FreeBSD) and Windows 2000 / XP / Vista.

I also have strong knowledge of video production / multimedia software (Final Cut Pro, Pinnacle Studio, Soundforge, Cool Edit Pro/Audition) and a sound understanding of Agile/XP project management methodologies (using Scrum), test driven development principles (using JUnit and Cactus), issue tracking using Bugzilla and Trac; and using CVS and Subversion to manage release and project development.
