HTML and associated technologies developer - such as PHP, mySQL, ActionScript and Oracle. Additionally plenty of practical experience in LAN (local area networks - wired and wireless networking) and WAN (wide area networking, routing, security, etc) design and troubleshooting, mainly in Cisco and 3com, with a slight bias towards optimising for VoIP and media services - IE quality of service and prioritisation. I qualified for a CCNA accrediation in April, and have various other Cisco accredditations as an account manager and SMB systems engineer.
Have worked as Project Leader in a variery of implimentations in the fields of telecommunications and voice services - working in North America, China, Hong Kong interlinking voice services for large organisations, and fulfilling additional roles as trainer and engineer/troubleshooter for those projects.

ProAction Networks is a small dynamic technology company - we specialise in wired and wireless networks for small businesses and organisations, and the surrounding technologies - mainly mobility - the ability to link multiple locations to share data, systems and improve communications, so as a result, we often supply telecommunications, power solutions, systems, including windows and apple hardware, file storage, redundency and backup.
As director, owner, salesman, engineer and business developer, I do everything! I try to balance bread and butter revenue generation with pushing the company forward into 21st century work practices and portfolios to replace outdated models of sales, implimentation and support of data and telecommunications.
We have a thriving interest in dynamic web technologies, from the design to the coding of both front and backend web presence. We're always looking for contacts to share knowledge, resources, wealth!

As the Engineering and Technical Manager of this small but growing Telecommunications company I had such a wide range of responsiblities, it's hard to know where to start. It included recruitment, account management, direct engineering and troubleshooting, personnel development and strategy, business development, training and project management.
I was directly responsible for both national and international telecommunications projects, mainly in Europe and North America.

I love retro computing - having grown up on a diet of Atari 2600, Sinclair Spectrum and Commadore Amiga. I buy and sell this kind of equipment all the time as part hobby, part beer money. I compete in triathalon - mainly as an aid to keeping the weight down - if I didn't have something to aim for, i would turn into even more of a porker, no doubt. I have compeleted two Ironman competitions - Austria 2006 and Switzerland 2007, which is a triathalon comprising of 2.4km swim, 180km bike and finishes with a 42km run. I aim to do another european Ironman 2010, with 2 years training hopefully giving me a much better time than before.
I have several industry qualifications, notibly a CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
