As co-founder of the Toronto chapter of MobileMonday, our goal is very clear: There is an urgent need for mobile industry stakeholders to "work together" to build a vibrant mobile ecosystem which supports "innovation" in the Canadian marketplace and globally. But this requires participation from many stakeholders such as: telecom operators, mobile application developers, device manufacturers, O/S orgs (Symbian, Windows Mobile, Apple, Palm etc), platform solution vendors, mobile marketing firms, the ad/interactive industry, venture capital and media. Our organization is the first chapter outside Asia to receive financial sponsorship from a wireless industry organization -- the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association. We are part of a worldwide movement of 50+ not-for-profit chapters -- all driven by the passionate leadership of its founders.
