Turning business and marketing requirements into technical specifications and, at a later stage, in a real mobile phone is one of the most exciting thing you can do while working for an operator.
At the very same time the Industrial Design team is asked to develop new concepts for the MomoDesign line up of product.
The GUI and UI Team drives the development and the definition of new concepts in User Interface and User Experience.
I think we have the rare opportunity to give birth to an handset, define it's DNA through business and marketing requirements, drive it's design, color, materials, and finishing, and , finally, decide how the customer will interact with it.
Isn't this exciting? It is, indeed.
Between the other things:
- I led the realization of the first European mobile music application integrating a player and a shop winning the Best Made-for-Mobile Music Service at the 2006 3GSMA Awards in Barcelona. Strong coordination between handset vendors, third parties developers and internal customer was crucial to this success.
