Status Pimp is the first IM status messages advertising network. It works on revenue shared model where the users (called pimpers) would get up to 0.07€ for each click from their friends. It launched in May 2009 using only Twitter and in less than 24 hours the first 1,000 beta accounts were already filled. It quickly gained traction with advertisers also, attracting brands like Coca-Cola, Wrigley's, Raiffeisen, BRD Societe Generale, PokerStars and Vichy.
I was the first employee and my day to day responsibilities included communication, account management and customer care.
Branding and communication were our first priorities as users would first associate the company with the usual "make money online" scams. We separated ourselves from this by creating live action videos explaining the registration process, writing creative copy that would exactly target the demographic or even setting up a flash mob in front of Bucharest's biggest mall with a professional team of street dancers.
As things moved on and using the insights I gained by interacting with both users and advertisers I focused on establishing the marketing and product strategy and prepare for the international launch.
Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Design industry
February 2009 – September 2009 (8 months) Timis County, Romania
Started in 2001 in Timișoara, X3 is the most internationally awarded design studio in Romania. It's main focus is in interactive user experiences, branding and multimedia.
Here I was in charge with explaining prospective clients about our design process, creating compelling briefs for the creative department and bringing my digital marketing know-how to the mix. Luckily I could also practice my hobby in sound design and help out creating amazing digital experiences.
Internet Marketing Planner
July 2008 – December 2008 (6 months) Timis County, Romania
Webness was the first regional digital marketing agency and catered to both small and medium sized businesses. This was my first interaction with digital marketing and after only one month I realized how much I loved working in this industry.
As a digital marketing planner at Webness I was in charge with helping our sales department create compelling pitches to prospective clients and implementing together with the back-office team marketing tactics like SEM ( SEO & Google AdWords) and social media.
Promo and Branding Manager Timișoara
Nonprofit; 10,001+ employees; Nonprofit Organization Management industry
November 2007 – July 2008 (9 months) Timis County, Romania
Present in over 107 countries and territories and with over 50,000 members, AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organisation.
In our local committee I was part of the communication department, responsible for creating marketing collateral for projects that reached thousands of local students.
Video editor (Internship)
Tele Europa Nova
February 2007 – April 2007 (3 months) Timis County, Romania
Tele Europa Nova is the first local television network to emerge after the 1989's Romanian revolution.
Here I got to be part of the mass-media landscape by editing the footage shot by field camera operators and preparing it for air. Working under pressure is probably TV's middle name as sometimes the segment had to be prepared 2 minutes before going live and mistakes weren't an option.
September 2002 – May 2005 (2 years 9 months) Timis County, Romania
Started in 2001, AT4T organized the first theater festival in the western part of Romania.
Learning from both alumni and teachers, this is the place I first developed both organizational skills and interest for marketing and communication.

UTM.to is an url shortener targeted towards marketing professionals who use Google Analytics UTM's codes to track referral attribution.
As more and more websites and services start defaulting to https (https does not send referral to a non https website) and the web is accessed through a myriad of devices and desktop clients, referral attribution can't rely solely on headers sent by the browsers. This is where UTM.to comes along and ensures that data driven decisions are based on reliable referral sources.
- December 2009 to Present
Translated from Romanian, it means "inspire me, please" and the idea was to help writers rewrite their texts by translating the input into Japanese and then back to Romanian. By doing this back and forth about 30 times, the text would've lost the original meaning but instead gain a whole new interpretation, yielding unexpected results.
What started as an idea at 9 PM went online the next morning, and after a single tweet, it quickly became viral creating almost 10,000 "inspirations". It even got featured on a national radio station.
