I have a background in Humanities, however over the past years I have been captivated by multimedia and web-related issues, primarily web design and development. After a first approach to graphics, I focused my research on subjects such as web standards, usability and accessibility.
I graduated at the University of Bergamo (Italy) with a thesis about open source software and podcasting. In 2007 I obtained some research funds to conduct further investigation on podcasting as an e-learning facility.
Eventually I moved to Barcelona (Spain), where I obtained a master degree in Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media (2009).
I have been working since 2000 on web projects for educational institutions, non-profit organizations and public administrations, such as the Energy Department of the Politecnico di Milano, the Italian environmental association Legambiente and the Provincia di Cremona. I worked as a teacher in secondary schools and as a university lecturer. I'm currently collaborating with the Department of Human Sciences at the University of Bergamo.
I treasure traveling, meeting new people, discovering languages and cultures. I play the saxophone on the side, and I have a taste for juggling!
Recently my interests have extended to Human Computer Interaction (HCI); I'm intrigued by tangible user interfaces and softwares that process human actions in real-time. I'm particularly fascinated by the use of these technologies in fields such as rehabilitation and art!
