The Highland Fling - Web Standards in Scotland is an annual conference aimed at helping raise the profile of Scottish web development whilst acting as a gateway to the leaders and thinkers of the industry. Previous speakers include Jeremy Keith, Andy Budd, Mark Norman Francis, Drew McLellan, James Edwards, Christian Heilmann and Andy Clarke.
I have been responsible for the project from beginning to end, raising sponsorship, dealing with marketing, managing a team of designers and developers as well as merchandisers.
This year saw over 100 people attend which I plan to expand upon for next year. -

Further duties included desktop support to shop staff as well as helping integrate new technologies such as bar coding into the shop and network infrastructure. -
