Alan Daniel Khalfin, Esq. is the CFO and Director of A&R of MixMatchMusic, Ltd., a social music service he founded with his roommates from UCLA. He received his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2007, as well as a certificate from the Cornell Law School Institute of International and Comparative Law in 2006. His studies focused on intellectual property, entertainment, and internet law and in his third year, he wrote a research note entitled “Digitalization and its discontents: Safeguarding artists’ rights in the digital music age.”
Alan received his Bachelors of Arts in French and Francophone Studies in 2004 from UCLA, and an International Diploma from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences-Po) in 2003. Alan is a musician and a producer, who records under the name Gavroche. He has played music since childhood, and plays drums, percussion, guitar, keyboards, as well as sings. As Principal of ADK Artist Strategies, he advised bands and labels on their business, operational and creative strategies to help shape their success in the new media marketplace. Alan was also a radio dj for KSCU (103.3 FM, San Jose) from 2005-2006, spinning several shows per week, and a production assistant for Noa Noa Music in 2004 (Los Angeles). Alan has traveled extensively throughout the world and speaks fluent Russian and French.
