Before starting a family and getting back into the full time workforce, I founded a fixed-wireless Internet Service Provider, FINOWEN, which I grew to about 250 broadband customers before moving on. Right out of college, I started doing software development on a consulting basis, first as an employee of a consulting company, and then as an independent while I transitioned into the wireless data communications business that evolved into FINOWEN.
I am interested in just about anything geeky, but I am really driven by technologies that improve quality of life, especially any technology that enables people to improve their own quality of life. This is why I started FINOWEN: once you have practically instant access to the virtually limitless information that is the Internet, your quality of life is limited only by your desire to change it.
