Andrew first discovered his love for typography while entrenched in a Digital Design program at Vancouver Film School. His technical background and mathematical inclination lends itself to the precision required for typesetting. Andrew feels that the art of typography requires a delicate balance and harmonious relationship between elements, like that of a symphony. Branding allows him to apply his typographic skills across multiple mediums and employ conceptual thinking in his work. It is important that he surrounds himself with likeminded individuals who are involved in promoting a progressive mentality.

Managed an in-house digital printer in a small graphic design studio. Planned workback schedules while advising designers to deliver on tight deadlines. Executed projects including page layout and pre-press preparation. Delivered print projects that were cut, collated, bound and mounted. Answered phones and talked with clients day to day.
Digital Design , 2008 — 2009
Over the intense year at VFS I established a strong foundation in a wide range of design fields, from motion to interactive to print design. However it was branding that quickly gained my interest and lead to decide to pursue it further. I love the creation of original concepts and applying them with a typographic focus across multiple mediums.
