Senior Journalist, Pro Blogger & Author - 'Let's Connect: Using LinkedIn to get ahead at work'
Delhi Area, India
In my current avatar, I am a blogger, independent journalist and now an author with my first book, 'Let's Connect: Using LinkedIn to get ahead at work.' (More about this book at www.techgazing.com/linkedin.
I write for national magazines and newspapers in India, on my blogs and Indian and international websites.
I currently write mostly on new media and technology as well as on travel, both business and leisure (allows me take 'working holidays'). When I am able to, I also write on consumer and public interest issues including environmental issues. My blog links will tell you more.
Over the years, I have been a serial entrepreneur, consultant and professional in my 15-year career (starting 1992).
Being full of out-of-the-box ideas- to do new things or for doing things differently, there is an inherent restlessness in me to try as many as possible. Does not work!!
It is then that I turned to something I always wanted to be - a journalist, in 2001. Allowed me to explore so many different things and meet people, and then write about them.
Finding myself restricted to just one genre, I stopped working for just one newspaper - and have taken the more difficult route of freelancing. And to be able to reach out to a much greater world out there, I also have professional blogs of my own.
Who do I write for? Leading publications in India including Outlook Business (a fortnightly), Mint (a daily business paper published in partnership with The Wall Street Journal), Business Standard (a daily business paper published in partnership with The Financial Times), The Financial Express (another business daily), Rediff.com and others.
