Jack Miller’s Summary

I started this organization because I found it to be a passion. My first trip started to define what this organization was going to be about and how it would continue. I soon found out that it wasn't all that easy. It definitely wasn't like any of the experiences I had within my volunteering and board of directors positions.

Nevertheless, my partner and I founded the AfricaJack Foundation and in June 2007, we received the 501(c)(3) notification. It's truly a magical experience. The connections we have made with people who have a desire to help or are doing something. We can all do our part - small or large.

It's definitely been a learning experience and one that I wouldn't change. It has taught me a lot about the differences in what people say they are going to do and what results they actually achieve - if any. It's also tested my own commitment and every day I move forward because of it.

This experience has also given me the ability to work back in the business and corporate world, but on a much different level and pace. Life is enjoyable and I love it.
