As a developer, I was responsible for the the implementation of engaging rich media online campaigns for numerous Fortune 500 companies. As a business analyst, my role was to help define and articulate system requirements. My ability to contribute in both of these roles has streamlined design and development processes and helped in project scoping and estimations. I participated in several ATG (eCommerce) training courses - both developer and managerial tracks.
While at Resource, I represented the organization as a speaker at the Spring Break Conference and contributed to the RI:Technology blog.
I have worked on client engagements with Procter and Gamble, Limited Brands (VS Pink, VSX), Wal-Mart and The Scotts MiracleGro Company.

My development responsibilities included developing high fidelity UI prototypes. These were leveraged in usability testing to validate product design. I also worked as a member of the LNPublisher development team using the SCRUM agile methodology.
I ran the organization's accessibility initiative, overseeing a cross-discipline team. I coordinated site audits, aided in RFP responses, and monitored external perception on our accessibility practices and approach. I educated CSMs on specific tactics and engaged directly with affected clients to perfect our practices and meet their needs.
I served on the Branding & Identity Committee and was the UX rep. on the Design Council (advising the Architectural Advisory Board). I was recognized in the Focus 50 Initiative to work closer with senior leadership (having been identified as "critical to the success of the organization"). I also facilitated a session on "UI Trends and Managing User Expectations" at a company-wide workshop.
I secured this position shortly after completing my degree program, once I was eligible to work in the United States.

YouthOne was a government-sponsored initiative designed to leverage the Internet to foster skill development and offer support to youth. As Web Master, I was responsible for all aspects of the technical delivery. This involved procurement and integration activities, as well as training and offering technical support to site users (both visitors and contributors).
I also coordinated a "Youth Tech Team" dedicated to skill enhancement and knowledge share.
I left this position when I moved to the United States to complete a Bachelor's degree program in Digital Communications.

Jagged: a sharp online magazine was a non-profit initiative started with a colleague to gain insights into the online marketing/publishing field. We went from project concept to site launch (including IA, site design and development and recruitment of contributors) within three months. The site was recognized as a Yahoo! Canada Site of the Week within a month of launch. We employed many tactics that are just now gaining credibility within the marketing industry as "social networking" or "viral". We identified target groups and worked with them to foster brand advocates.
As Web Director, I was responsible for site design, development and maintenance, as well as online promotion and marketing.

The Volunteer! Program was a recently established service when I took on the role as Coordinator. In addition to continuing to grow the service offering itself (fostering relationships with local volunteer organizations and making open opportunities available via an online database), I also managed the overall marketing of the program to the greater University community. I coordinated a day-long volunteer recruitment event, including all marketing and promotions, and worked closely with specific student groups to promote brand awareness.
I also identified similar organizations and services with which to align, and established a working relationship with the national Volunteer Canada organization.
