Marc Adler's Summary
Japanese-to-English technical translator with 12 years of experience translating technical documents and seven years of experience specializing in patent applications and patent-related documents, including both PCT and for-information translations in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering, and of non-application technical documents such as WOSAs, IPRPs, and abstracts (all for WIPO-contracted agencies), as well as USPTO and JPO office actions and related documents.
In my free time I do literary translation. I have four published book-length translations. Two are novels ("A Caring Man" by Akira Arai and "Lala Pipo" by Hideo Okuda), one is a sex manual written by a Japanese celebrity ("Slow Sex Secrets: Lessons from the Master Masseur" by Adam Tokunaga), and one is a cocktail recipe book by a world-renowned Japanese mixologist ("Cocktail Techniques" by Kazuo Ueda).
