My career has spanned several roles across the interface between technology and business.
My first role was as an M&A/strategic investments specialist for TCS where I gained transaction perspectives across IT Services, consulting, engineering services, BPO, Call center, embedded systems, telecom software etc across Asia, Europe and US.
In addition, I reported directly to the CEO with diverse responsibilities including liaison with VCs and start-ups worldwide. This quickly developed into a full time corporate development role of accessing new technology with start-ups through alliance formation and developing new services around it. This created a new node in the TCS Co-Innovation Network (COIN).
For a brief period, I also managed the Corporate Technology Office of TCS and also took on marketing responsibilities.
I became the first EIR for TCS in January 2007 and have developed multiple business plans which are in different stages of execution.
I enjoy combining the technology and business perspectives. I've had the good fortune of extending this to advising new technology businesses within the Tata group and to several start-ups.
Involved as an organiser of Barcamps at Bangalore and Mumbai. Co-founder and Director - Headstart Network Foundation.
