Mr. Sweet received a certificate in violin from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and a BA in Music from Hampshire College. Since then, he has developed a solid network of suppliers in key countries and regions such as Germany, South Korea and China.
Adam R. Sweet has been involved in the music business for many years, first in non-profit working with the Apple Hill Center for Chamber music as a consultant, then in retail as the sales manager of a busy violin shop, and later in wholesale as a supplier providing high quality luthier tools to violin shops throughout the western world. His first foray into Bow Hair was working with Michael T. Sowden and Andrew Glasser. Later, he learned from Rick Rigall, Lynn Hannings, Yung Chin, Robert Ames, Don Reinfeld, Benoit Rolland, Peter Prier, Trent Rask, George Rubino, and Elizabeth Shaak. He's had interesting advice from Steve Beckley, Erich Husemoller, Matt Stamell and many others.
"During the past twenty years, I have tried to understand what are the most important ingredients in a company's success. Out of all the things you do every day - both bad and good, the things that make you happy are the ones that give you the greatest success. The most successful organizations have this in common. I am extremely lucky to be involved in a business that I love. I look forward to meeting you some day, to learn what it is that you love about what you do. Thank you for visiting."
