Adam Sherlip - "The Hockey Volunteer"
Greater New York City Area
Philanthropreneur Adam Sherlip is always looking for new initiatives and organizations to start, keeping in mind the social responsibility we have regarding ourselves, each other, and the planet.
His two greatest - and totally different - passions in life are ice hockey and tea, and Adam is equally versed in both industries. While playing the game for most of his life, he also spent years working for an NHL club, in a variety of positions (including teaching ice hockey in China), and recently returned from a volunteer mission where he tought ice hockey in India. This has turned into just one of many organizations that Adam has founded to help others.
He has also spent years in the tea industry, working with shops in New York City to develop menus, recipes, store concepts, better practices, and tastings. His company was a sponsor and exhibitor at the World Tea Expo in 2007, and Adam remains active in this industry.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, as Adam has yet to figure out how to shut his brain off, even when he begs it to stop.
