First and foremost, I'm an opinionated blunt generalist.
Dabbling in a variety of things, mainly somehow involving IT management, or analysis.
IT wise, I'm a *nixer & windows bloke, although I tend to preferring dealing with OpenSource: mainly due to my hatred of wizards/the idiotization of the industry.
I will do Windows (and, at a push, Netware) consultancy, management, analyses, second-opinions, infrastructure rejigs, negotiations, strategy, migrations & upgrades, procurement, advice, and external consultancy.
Mainly Debian & FreeBSD, these days, with a bit of MacOS for good measure, I'm Old-Skool windows, from 3.0 to XP on the Workstation (I don't rate "Vista"), LanMan, NT, Server 2k/2003. Also Exchange, SQL (MySQL, PostGres, and MS), Exim, Apache...
Elsewhere, I'm (mainly) a Commercial Analyst, Policy Draftsman, Negotiator, Strategic Thinker/Directionalist.
Very broad knowledge-base into areas outside my 'specialism(s)', opinionated, confident.

Formerly (since 2003) the National Secretary, I've since been appointed (in a job-swap) the organization's technical director.
I've got oversight, and involvement in All Things Technical for the campaign.
At the moment, we're migrating into a Drupal set-up, and a few other things. All fun and games.

I play with infrastructure, and do the odd fixing of things that annoy/irritate me. Very occasional coder, tea-maker (when we get together), a few other things, probably.
