Adam Kaufman’s Summary

I am a product marketing management professional with expereince in the consumer retail space. Most recently I worked at Palm I was responsible for 80% of the accessory portfolio which included audio products, power chargers for home and car, batteries, and cables.

Also, I was the product manager responsible for bringing the Touchstone technology to market alongside the new Palm Pre. The Touchstone technology is an industry first in handheld electronics charging methods. The charging dock creates a small electromagnetic field that charges the phone it’s docked with without being connected. My responsibilities included developing marketing requirements documents that defined the scope of the project including financial metrics, target customers and marketing goals and mediums. This also included creating cost down goals for our operations and engineering teams, messaging goals for marcom teams, and branding goals such and the name itself for branding teams. My number one challenge was to message this as a technology and a product versus just a product itself. Contact me to find out more.

Prior to Palm, I worked at Lexar to develop their Professional reader line as well as expand Lexar's gaming memory card product portfolio. I have experience in leading cross functional teams to develop new products that included team members from QA, marketing, NPI, manufacturing, mechanical design, and external designers. My day-to-day functions include road map and product life-cycle management, strategic planning and partner alliances, customer-specific presentations, various forms of training, and press interviews.

My short term goal is continued career development through a committed worth ethic, multi-industry work experience, continuous personal growth, and graduate education to obtain my MBA.

My long term goals include becoming Director of Product Management for a successful technology company with hopes for continued advancement to the executive level.
