After being trained as a print news journalist at the University of Missouri-Columbia's School of Journalism, I branched into online technology and business news reporting at MidwestBusiness.com (formerly ePrairie.com).
While continuing to write, my role expanded to include editing and managing columnists as well as publishing for third-party associations and organizations.
My career then extended to include eXtreme Networking speed events for professionals. I managed the product evolution of the eXtreme Networking software.
I've also freelanced for Time Out Chicago, Go2 Media, Blogcritics.org, Hollywood Elsewhere and ReelChicago.com. I was a theatre critic for Centerstage Chicago, which is owned by the Chicago Sun-Times Group. I am syndicated by Examiner.com and top 100 entertainment site Starpulse.com.
I currently am the founder and publisher of HollywoodChicago.com, which is a daily film and theater publication based in Chicago. I'm also currently the exclusive cell phones guide on About.com, which is part of the New York Times Company and is visited by 55 million people each month.
