Chief Enigmatist, Amateur Sinologist, and Podcasting Afficionado

I've spent a series of three-year career blocks in a variety of key industry sectors (egs. film production, book publishing, software design, internet startup).
This was part of my general aim of knowing as much as possible about the various "tentacles" of the media industry -- the ones that actively pulled me in.
I've come to know these fields intimately by playing a *direct and active* role into what makes them tick. I understood early on in my career that the only way to get to know them well would be by getting my hands dirty on a daily basis, in the trenches sort of thing.
Throughout that time, I've had an opportunity to travel the planet and successfully achieve many professional activities. I've amassed a rather extensive portfolio in so doing. I've had professional dealings on 4 continents and am always angling for a way to get to my fifth and sixth, South America and Australia, respectively.
As always, a simple google/yahoo search/msn search (provided the latter two are still available as of this reading) of my name will reveal most of my latest works.
not necessarily in this order, negotiation, podcasting, videocasting, blogging, novel writing, short story writing, freelance article writing, reporting, interviewing, researching, bargaining, mediating, acting as a sherpa, being a corporate ambassador, acting as a middleman, the uninvolved voice of mediation, being a good partner and father.

Mezei and Associates, s.r.o. is the hub company for all of my various ongoing media projects across the world.
The firm is a limited liability concern incorporated both in Prague, Czech Republic and in Canada. Much of Mezei and Associates' work today takes place in the emerging economies of Central and Eastern Europe, with its primary base of activity in Prague.

A relevant example of a comparable Mezei and Associates project was recently wrapped up for Expats.cz, Prague's largest portal for the English-language speaking international business community. The site receives 93,000 unique page views monthly, and has been a going-concern for six successful years.
I interviewed, produced, and edited 30 episodes in total of my late, highly popular podcast series called "The Knowledge."

March 2007 — December 2007 (10 months)
I landed 3 large clients during my short tenure at the business development helm:
** HSBC Private Banking: HSBC was introducing a new $50,000+ net worth Swiss-style "private banking" service to the market, and I was responsible for convincing the decision-maker at a "Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic pub night to advertise with Expats.cz. This relationship continues to be a lucrative one for the latter.
** a 40,000 Czech crown (= approx. $2,300) spring season ongoing monthly advertising contract with the Czech Republic's 3rd-largest mobile phone operator -- Vodafone, Czech Republic -- after hosting popular Prague expatriate and NZ-born CEO, Grahame Maher, at my weekly show, "The Knowledge."
** an innovative co-advertising structure whereby the country's largest independently-owned news server -- Akualne.cz -- produced a weekly news blast for Expats.cz on Mondays. The relationship came about as a result of my popular blogging activities for that same server.

December 2005 — December 2007 (2 years 1 month)
I freelanced and reported for the city's largest English language newspaper, covering the business and diplomatic beats.
Prague Post publications written for during my tenure:
** the monthly Real-Estate special supplement.
** Fast Lane.
One of my most contentious -- though highly popular -- articles was about Czech Senatorial candidate and neurologist, Martin Jan Stransky, former exile from Communism in the US.

AM Group was the primary moving force behind the "Crossover" project, a short film which commenced development in November 2000 and carried on roughly until the North American summer of 2005.
Taking place over 2 continents -- in Cape Town, South Africa and then, later, beginning in December 2004, Auckland, New Zealand -- the firm independently owned the rights to, produced, and mounted two complementary scripts bearing the "Crossover" imprint.
AM Group cooperated closely with indigenous communities in both countries; having collaborated during the South African development phase with 3-time flyweight champion "Baby" Jake Matlala:

and then in New Zealand, Crossover again broke cutting-edge ground by going straight to the top. AM Group worked with Grant Roa, supporting actor in the Toronto International Film Festival award-winning WHALE RIDER:
