Freelance Grip/Electric/Gaffer
Greater Seattle Area
After graduating film school, I spent the summer as a course manager for The International Film & Television Workshops. This transitioned into two semesters of being a teacher's assistant for Rockport College. I spent the next three summers working in the Technical Department of The Workshops as the Technical Production Coordinator, Assistant Manager and eventually Manager. I also taught a semester long Film Technology class at Rockport College. I covered DV and 16mm cameras, tungsten and HMI lights, electrical distribution, basic and advanced grip equipment and use, single and dual system audio recording, Peewee and Fisher dollies and jibs, and set etiquette. I also spent six months in Brooklyn working for a great rental company, Eastern Effects, Inc. I gathered equipment, packed trucks, and drove them to and from locations.
As for the future, I plan to freelance in the grip and electric departments in the Portland Oregon area. I am also interested in rental house positions as well.
