Responsible for the UK office network and related network services - from the cable infrastructure and Ethernet hardware to security policies border and workstation virus protection.
During my work here the company grew to include other offices worldwide and I managed a VPN based WAN to connect satellite offices back to the UK.
I was also responsible for the administration and management of all of the company's production banner-ad servers and associated hardware. This gave me experience working in a mission critical production environment, along with the considerations that have to be taken into account when doing so.
In addition it has provided me with the opportunity to gain experience across a range of technologies, such as load balancing, automated fail over of network components, servers and clustered firewalls.
