The study approaches CSR practices adopted in the supply chains of UK-based private organisations. More specifically, it approaches the process of institutionalising such practices and the role of certain drivers and barriers of this process. The study is undertaken within CBOS, University of Bath with the backing of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing of Supply, SustainAbility and SEDEX.
Quantitative data, collected in 2008, is now in the process of being analysed and reported back to participating organisations. I aim to carry out case studies in British organisations in the second half of 2009 and early 2010.
Having completed the study, which guarantees participant anonymity, firms may further the research in the form of a case study. All participants will receive a report detailing findings of the study, proving to be of strategic importance pertaining to departmental and organisational-level CSR practices.
Should you wish to participate, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you.

September 2004 — June 2005 (10 months)
This position was part of an inter-governmental programme between the British Council and the CIEP (Centre International d'Etudes Pedagogiques) in Paris, France.
I was responsible for reinforcing the children's knowledge of the English language and was quasi-autonomous throughout the period of employment. I was therefore able to employ a number of techniques (some of which were formulated on the job) and proved my creativity in communicating complex information on a number of occasions.
My time at the school also gave me extensive experience of working within a closely-knit team of teaching professionals to afford the children the best support possible, notably by ensuring a high level of consistency throughout the content of the course.
I also learnt the importance of gaining trust through relationships with both colleagues and pupils. This made for a more pleasant and open working environment, in which information flowed freely and enhanced the team's performance.
Ph.D. , Socially and Environmentally Responsible Procurement in international corporate supply chains , 2007 — 2011 (expected)

MSc Management , Operations; Marketing; Accounting and Finance; Human Resources and Business Economics , 2006 — 2007
This course culminated in the submission of a dissertation, of which the title was: "On Efforts to Improve Environmental Performance : an empirical investigation into the sustainable practices of Britain's National Health Service".
My research was grounded in reality to make the result applicable to the practitioner's daily function. I also considered the need to appeal to academia by making a theoretical contribution to open up further research opportunities for future students in this field.
After two case studies in NHS Trusts, the posited models were the pictorial representation of the answers to the study's research questions. These revolved around 'organisational structure'; 'attitudes toward ecologically-favourable technology' and the 'role of external organisations on the environmental performance of NHS trusts'.
I am currently in the process of compiling research reports for the trusts involved, which should be complete by the end of October 2007.
