Birmingham, Alabama Area
I currently manage and publish an online portal I created for Birmingham, Alabama, providing in depth looks at the region and the people that make it what it is.
Also beginning to write professionally, with a special interest in stories focusing on the American South and the Creative Class.
Finally, I still have a longing for working in the field of commercial revitalization, particularly as it pertains to using the ever expanding world of social media as a tool to strengthen what's already there in terms of communication and the sharing of information in districts.

I've stumbled into the world of social media as a result of getting into blogging and social networks. I've been on this quest since I took a certain class in college to determine how the web and the tools that we use to access it can be used to strengthen existing relationships and forge new ones. I share what I've learned so far with individuals and organizations to help them achieve their goals for increased visibility and relevance, particularly among members of Generations X and Y.
