Following a professional experience in the music industry, at the beginning of the online exploitation of music, I concentrated on my academic research activities as I was writing a PhD paper in copyright law (subject: the law applicable to the contracts for online exploitation of music) at the University of Paris (France). As a researcher, I took part to several research programs, participated to conferences, published in scientific reviews and tought at the University as a lecturer.
Music industry, academic research, and then NGOs and advocacy for the TransAtlantic Consumer Dialogue (TACD) in Brussels.
My mission at the TACD consisted in helping this EU-US organisation to build up a policy on intellectual property regarding a wide range of crucial issues: access to knowledge, promotion of interoperability and open standards, protection of privacy in the context of IP rights enforcement, but also access to medicines.
