Anthony Borders was born in 1970 in Indiana. He knew from his earliest days that he wanted to be an artist, and has focused almost all of his time and energy since developing and refining himself as a multi-faceted and variegated artist.
In 1991, he attended Al Collins' Graphic Design School (now known as Collins' College) in Tempe, Arizona where he received an Associates Degree in Advertising Design. He also developed the comic strip Monk's Meditative Comic, which won 1st place in the Bay Guardian's Annual Cartoon Contest in 1995.
Since graduation, Anthony has worked as an art director, illustrator, cartoonist, production artist, graphic designer, apparel designer, web designer, poster pop artist, CD cover designer, portraitist, and fine artist specializing in pop art and pop surrealism.
He currently works as a full-time web designer and developer and sometimes works on a web-published comic strip with his wife. He also continues to pursue pop surrealism, portrait painting, illustration, web and graphic design, and art for music and for charity promotion in his free time.
Anthony Borders is of no relation to the bookstore people... though he often wishes he were.
