CEO & Technical Co-Founder

Viddyou

October 2006October 2009 (3 years 1 month)

Founder, CEO and lead developer of premium video sharing site for friends & families. If you've never been part of a small startup it's hard to explain what duties those titles synthesize into.

From raising capital to running payroll, Facebook to iPhone, bizdev to backups, OO PHP, BASH, Linux, S3, EC2, JS, customer support, product planning, QAing, A/Bing, specing, and so many other tasks ending in 'ing' I couldn't list them all.

Long hours, late nights, weekends-mean-nothing and loving every minute of it -- all in the name of bringing friends and families closer through the beautiful power of video.

Viddyou was acquired by Motionbox Inc. in 2009 (now HP)

Linux Systems Administrator

Superpoke

Devops for the widely popular "Superpoke!" application on the Facebook platform. Worked in an incredibly fast-paced environment in order to scale from 1 to millions of users in less than a month (and then to support the growing millions of users in the weeks after that).

Superpoke was acquired by Slide Inc. in 2007 (now Google)

Owner

Agent Records

20022006 (4 years) Santa Rosa, CA

Created an independent record label and new media consulting group out of my college dorm room to pursue a personal passion and in the process developed it into an internationally distributed company. Worked with some of the largest major record labels and entertainment companies on new media marketing and creative platform solutions (Capitol Records, Interscope, MTV, Warner Bros).

Got to hang around really talented people that make music for a living.

It was the heady .com days and I got a job working for AOL before I could legally drive a car. I worked across several areas including: Digital City, Project Greenhouse, Macintosh User Forum and - of course - BACY.
