Aaron Silvers assumed roles and responsibilities in several professional organizations, each stemming from a family background in Education. These experiences include classroom teaching, curriculum, resource management, production and project management, bids and proposals, contract negotiation, software development, content development, instructional design, information architecture, product training, knowledge management and consultation.
Aaron is the Technology-based Learning Practice Consultant for W.W. Grainger, Inc. His responsibilities include managing content production and Information Technology, architecting E-Learning products and scripting that elevates the design, presentation and function of E-Learning projects for clients. Aaron defines and evolves the standards and practices for Technology-based Learning solutions. Aaron manages vendor relationships, makes software and hardware acquisition decisions and leads process improvement efforts affecting design, development and quality assurance of E-Learning,
Working previously with the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) program, his responsibilities on included contributing to the Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) 2004 specification, leading development of prototypes and sample implementations of SCORM 2004 content, contributing white papers, articles, demonstrations and presentations to the ADL Community through participation in Plugfest events, related conferences, workshops and inter-personal contact.
Working with other Subject Matter Experts, Aaron translates the SCORM specification into usable training and documentation for broader audiences, including web developers and instructional designers new to SCORM. Aaron supported multiple Joint and Federal Defense and Homeland Security programs as a consultant on SCORM-conformance, technical architecture and integration.
Aaron is internationally recognized as an expert on SCORM-conformant content development.
