I am remotely employed in Seattle with a territory covering the Western United States. I own the technical pre-sales processes by supporting my sales partners with technical presentations on Lumeta's IPsonar product. IPsonar is a network intelligence tool use to actively baseline large networks and provide information on protocol reach and flow within a Companies network perimeter and test connectivity across network boundaries. IPsonar's primary function is to detect all gateways to the internet and across security boundaries to make sure they are within corporate security policy and discover the true network perimeter including unknown networks within an enterprise. With this tool I deliver post-sales consulting services to our clients via purchased service engagements. I then evaluate the data and prepare and deliver a presentation to the client. I also maintain relationships with perpetual customers by checking in with them and providing hands on support and training.

I ran the campus network at this Jesuit High School. My responsibilities included maintaining the 14 servers including the majority of the network services running on those servers in addition to the routers, switches, firewall and the physical LAN interconnecting all of the devices. This was an interesting position to take as no comprehensive security plan or policy was ever considered for this environment. As a result my days became full of problem remediation activities. I started the deployment of automated anti-virus systems, automated Operating System and Service updates, scheduled routine maintenance of servers and SNMP monitoring of network devices and flow.

In this position I had to remain very flexible to handle the various tasks required. I investigated customer driven issues and verify if the problem is a result of a product defect, a result of customer error or network behavior. I also clarified request from the sales force for product enhancement and submit their request to our engineering departments in a meaningful manner. I spoke on security related issues at public events. I was a technical liaison to Avaya and Polycom to integrate their product into our customer's environments. I was the Team Lead for the Second Level Support Group. I supervised the day-to-day activities of Technical Support Representatives and was responsible for their training and evaluation. I was also responsible for the experience the customer receives from my team when they contacted us for resolution of their issues. I was the final point of escalation on my team and approved customer incident to be escalated to the Support Engineering Team.
