Customer relations and product salesman, specializing in software and hardware solutions. Acquired a wealth of knowledge regarding computer and office management, computer business solutions, etc. Direct, personal interaction with local and international customers, including large businesses, to accommodate their needs while selling our product in an efficient and profitable manner.
B.A. , Music/Anthropology , 2003 — 2008
Focused on music as it relates to culture and the relationships between art and people. This type of knowledge and experience directly applies to my work in mass communication, market research, fundraising and development, as well as community and group engagement, etc. Understanding various roles within a culture coincide to marketing an organization or entity more efficiently. Through courses in tourism, cultural anthropology, music, and many more, I have acquired a well-rounded education and wide reaching background of information to reference. I also have been recognized on the Dean’s List, and am an active alumnus of the school.
Spanish/Anthropology 2007 — 2007
In Chile, I participated in a study abroad program focusing on the Spanish language. I lived with a local family and was immersed in the Chilean culture. While in South America, I traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and many parts of Chile. I met many people during this semester abroad and formed close relationships with students from around the world, gaining a better appreciation for the world we live in, and understanding the foundations of international relationships. My understanding of the Spanish language, while not fluent, was augmented by my completion of four semesters of Spanish - both in Chile and at the University of Houston.
1999 — 2003
In high school, I was very involved with the music department and the marching band. This led to my eventual decision to major in music, but also can be attributed to my involvement with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps (Dubuque, Iowa) and the Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps (Santa Clara, California). Both of these organizations are prestigious competing units that travel across the country each summer. Over the course of my three summers in drum corps, I have visited virtually every state in the contiguous USA.
