I feel fortunate to have had the experience of working through college, helping to jump-start a start-up, learning from and mentoring my peers, and staying on the cutting edge in my field.
While studying Computer Science at WWU I had the opportunity to develop a custom CMS for a new department, participate in open source development projects and consult for small businesses in my neighborhood. I supported a set of regular clients who needed online marketing advice, web development and hardware help.
After moving to Seattle to find a good job, I was hired by a tech start-up working on a new medical imaging application for small clinics. I showed initiative and was quickly promoted to lead a small team of developers to produce a radiology picture archiving and communication system (PACS). While working on the new server software we were tasked with improving a client's antiquated order entry system. My team built and deployed a revolutionary web application using our own AJAX API. The client loved it and immediately switched all of their users to our new system.
My passion is delivering an engaging user experience. I've learned to love the process of understanding the client's needs beyond just the pain points and satisfying both business requirements and usability standards. I enjoy helping people get their new ideas online quickly and giving them all the opportunity they need to scale and maintain the project through the life of the business.

My responsibilities include technical analysis of business requirements, contributing to technical specifications and wireframes, selecting the best solution for the problem and delivering the best software to meet business requirements.
I work primarily in C# on ASP.NET applications using the latest framework and AJAX toolkits. I integrate highly engaging user interfaces with a scalable back-end via WCF and Linq.
