Lead Programmer/Compiler Architect
REAL Software
(Computer Software industry)
April 2008 — November 2008 (8 months)
After working my way through several disciplines in the engineering department, I took on a dual role within the company. I am the lead compiler architect of a cross-platform, object oriented language (REALbasic). I am also the lead programmer of a team of engineers responsible for our cross-platform framework and IDE.
As the lead compiler architect, I've been responsible for the design and implementation of several key language features, including attributes and interface aggregation. I've also been responsible for maintaining and improving existing compiler functionality.
As the lead programmer, I am responsible for the day to day management of 4 programmers. I determine the priority of bugs and features, and am in charge of setting everyone's schedule for a release cycle in an agile development environment. In addition, I am the technical contact for any questions about the product, or design decisions. -
