I’m a mechanical engineer-turned marketing guy leading a small group performing market research, business strategy development, new product development, competitive intelligence, pricing, and portfolio management.
I also train people in using Linkedin and other social networking systems to enhance their business. I've spoken on the subject for the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals & Primir, and have been in Competitive Intelligence magazine. It is amazing to me how even a little research can make decisions so much clearer. I'm very interested in web marketing and web analytics.
I have a variety of personal interests, including woodworking, photography, and writing. I don’t consider reading a hobby - It’s a necessity and an obsession. I have several websites, and am very interested in web publishing and social media.
My greatest joy is my family - my wife Susan and our beautiful daughters - who light up my every day.

I help you build your Business Telescope. Just as a regular telescope helps travelers find their way, see obstacles and understand the world around them, a Business Telescope(sm) does the same for companies working to succeed in today's challenging markets.

UW Stout is an excellent school with a strong emphasis on practical, usable education. While many engineering students would have been taking their nth semester of differential calculus, a Stout student is learning management, accounting, marketing, etc. Practical stuff for real-world jobs.
