I was asked to assist Head Coach Art Steuber who was inducted into the Judson University Athletics Hall of Fame this year, was Judson's Male Athlete of the Year in 1991-92; and was twice named the NIIC Player of the Year and All-NIIC while being a four-year letter winner and most valuable player for the Eagles. In his senior year, he was the NCCAA District Player of the Year along with being named to the NCCAA and NAIA All-District teams and received his second NIIC Player of the Year award.

In the finals I went head to head with Kevin Michael "Toby" McKeehan professionally known as tobyMac, a Grammy Award winning artist, producer, and songwriter famous for the lead vocals in the famous group DC Talk. He didn't take too kindly to losing! Come to think of it . . . I think I still have that shirt I won :-)
