Entrepreneurship & Intrapreneurship: I have co-founded one startup in the past. I have been part of a team of founders who have incepted and built a startup, defined and implemented its policies, systems and processes. I have been involved in various business negotiation scenarios including outsourcing contract definition, negotiation and implementation. I have also been involved in raising funding for the startup.
Products and Technology: Most of my experience has been with products. I have successfully owned and delivered products out of India. I have participated in various forums to represent my organization.
My core technical skills are in networking protocols, operating systems (including RTOSs) and in related hardware. I understand this space well enough to understand the business directions this field is taking, translate this knowledge into features, components and products for the future.
Management: I have defined and setup teams, control systems, project offices to define goals and realize business objectives. I have defined, managed to budget and have had cash flow oversight.
People: I have hired, managed and mentored experienced architects and setup multi-site delivery teams totaling to 120 people. My teams’ attrition usually has also been below the mean. My team members have been involved in various initiatives including producing patents, organizational change, mentoring, coaching and in becoming leaders.
I am on SPIN Bangalore’s Executive Committee. We are one of the main reasons for Bangalore having the highest concentration of SEI-5 organizations in the world.
