Project Manager or Engineer tasked to study, support and/or implement projects that involve radioisotope analysis and production at the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR).
Assist the Customer Service Group with a technical perspective on business issues and aid in new business development.
Current projects include:
- Project Manager for the Type B Package design and development to 10 CFR 71 standards. First design at NRC in July 2009.
- Project Manager for development of GMP grade radiochemical product (API) to ICH Q7A Standards and FDA Part 11 compliance. Qualification runs underway in October 2009.
- Deputy Project Manager for study and implementation of reactor-based Mo-99 production at MURR
- Research in collaboration with Advanced Medical Isotope Corporation on a device for the production of Mo-99 and other radioisotopes (co-inventor of the associated IP)
Recently concluded projects include:
- Technical liaison to the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on SSAC and DIQ safeguards training courses hosted at MURR in 2007 and 2009
- Chair of study group tasked with finding a way to increase radioisotope production at MURR. Solution passed along to the Engineering group for implementation in 2008.
Career prior to nuclear industry included six years as a computer programmer in the financial industry. Worked as a team lead for a support group that was available 24/7 for critical fixes to transaction software.
