Recently retired to Bournemouth after 28 years as a university lecturer in computing.

Only academic work I'm doing at the moment is supervising three MSc students for the Open University per year.

Have recently completed a report on converting a cost calculator from Microsoft Excel to Microsoft Access for Loughborough University of Technology.

Now enjoying my retirement as a dance host with the Saga Shipping Company, Voyages of Discovery (VoD) and Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines (FOCL) cruising to the Mediterranean, the Canaries, the Caribbean, the Baltic and the Atlantic & Indian Oceans.

    I worked at the Royal Military College of Science (RMCS) which was founded in 1772 at Woolwich. In 1946 it moved to Shrivenham on the Oxfordshire / Wiltshire border. In 1984 Cranfield Institute of Technology (CIT, now Cranfield University) won the first in a series of contracts to provide the academic service at the College. It became the Defence College of Management & Technology (DCMT), which is part of the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom (DAUK), in 2002.
